In Your Area | Bath
We are Bath's air ambulance
Our aircrew are called to more incidents each year in Bath and surrounding areas than any other air ambulance, both in our helicopter and our two critical care cars.
Our airbase in Semington, near Trowbridge, is just four minutes’ flying time to the centre of Bath, so you will regularly see our yellow and green helicopter in the skies over the city.
On average we are called to Bath and its surrounding areas – or fly/transfer patients to the city – at least three times a week.
In 2024 we attended 117 missions in the city, representing nine per cent of all 2024 missions.

Your air ambulance
At the end of 2024 we renamed our lifesaving service to Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity to reflect our true operational area.
Since moving to our airbase in 2018, we have responded to more missions in the city of Bath than any other critical care resource.
We also transfer more patients to the Royal United Hospital in the city than any other hospital, where two of our critical care doctors, Rosie Furse and Jono Holme, are based.
Martyn from Bath's story
It's been great to come and meet the air ambulance crew.
I know how lucky I’ve been. I’ve been left with reduced sight in my left eye and my left cheek remains numb to this day, but the rest of my body has fully recovered.

Keeping it local
You will often see Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity around the streets of Bath city centre and the surrounding areas.
It could be our helicopter or critical care cars - or it could be our branding on a park and ride bus.
We also support the Bath Spa train station and Bath bus station with advertising.
